1FileTool is a desktop file utility app by StoicSoft. Its core promise is local processing: your PDFs, images, videos, audio files, archives, and other files are handled on your device.

This policy covers the 1FileTool desktop app, the browser-based tools on 1filetool.com, purchases, downloads, license activation, and support communication.

The desktop app does not upload your files to StoicSoft servers for processing. File contents, filenames, folders, batch jobs, generated outputs, and local presets stay on your device unless you choose to share them yourself.

The web tools on 1filetool.com run in your browser where possible. Files selected in those tools are processed in browser memory and are not uploaded to our servers for conversion or analysis.

• File contents, source documents, generated outputs, or batch-processing history
• Local folder paths, watched-folder contents, or file metadata from the desktop app
• Clipboard contents, unless you explicitly paste content into a browser tool
• Telemetry from the desktop app about which files you process
• Payment card numbers, which are handled by our payment processor

• Website analytics such as page views, referrers, browser type, approximate region, and device class
• Download events or outbound link clicks from the website
• Your email address, license details, order ID, and billing metadata when you purchase Pro
• Support emails you send us, including any logs or screenshots you choose to attach
• License activation metadata needed to verify your license and device activation count

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Lemon Squeezy provides us with order, license, refund, tax, and customer contact information needed to deliver and support your purchase.

When you activate a Pro license, 1FileTool may contact our licensing provider to validate the license key, activation status, app version, and device activation count. This is used only to operate the license you purchased.

Download links may point to GitHub Releases. GitHub may receive standard request information such as your IP address, user agent, and the file requested. GitHub's own terms and privacy policy apply to that download request.

The app may check for available updates through release metadata. You can choose whether to download and install updates.

The website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and Lemon Squeezy scripts to support checkout and affiliate attribution. These services may set cookies or process technical request data according to their own policies.

We use this information to maintain the website, understand which pages are useful, measure downloads, process purchases, handle refunds, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information.

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase and license records are retained as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, refunds, and support.

You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we control by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or payment/tax obligations.
