History and background tasks
Every run is logged with what changed. Background tasks keep working while you switch tools, and anything can be cancelled.
History lists every run with its inputs and what it changed — useful for undoing a mental model of what happened to a folder.
Long jobs continue as background tasks and can be cancelled from the status bar.
